The Lapua 6mm Creedmoor case, is a necked down version of the extremely popular 6.5mm Creedmoor designed to produce higher velocities, flatter trajectories, and reduced recoil.

Customer demand for a 6mm version followed almost immediately after the release of the original Creedmoor case. Aside from the neck dimensions, new Lapua 6mm Creedmoor cases share the same features and characteristics that make Lapua the standard for 6.5 Creedmoor brass. It is a beautifully drawn case, properly annealed at the neck and shoulder, with head metallurgy specifically chosen for durability, and the same small rifle primer, small flash-hole design that delivers the ultimate accuracy edge. The smaller 6mm bore diameter offers an excellent selection of proven low-drag match bullets that offer outstanding long range performance with even less recoil.

While the original 6.5 Creedmoor was designed with NRA High Power competition in mind, other disciplines, including PRS, were quick to see the positive attributes of this cartridge. We know Lapua’s latest offering will find a niche with discerning shooters in demanding competitive disciplines. Whether it’s a timed run against steel at unknown ranges, or the precision of placing shots in the X-ring, this Lapua case is just right for you!

Lapua cases – the top brass choice for demanding reloaders

The base, body and neck of Lapua brass have been designed to maintain exact tolerances over multiple reloading cycles. Advanced metallurgical research and manufacturing techniques ensure that Lapua cases are leaders in uniformity and quality.

All Lapua cartridge cases are strong and uniformly precise. Lapua brass is manufactured to be reloaded, again and again. For reloaders who require absolute reliability from their ammunition, Lapua’s pistol and rifle cartridge components is the answer. Lapua cases are the best in the world, a statement supported by all top marksmen.

The base of the case
The Lapua case heads are drawn exceptionally hard for unmatched reloadability and for an exceptionally long-life cycle to serve top shooters time and time again. The brass dimensions remain constant and will hold primers tight in their pockets even after the case has been reloaded many times.

The brass body
The brass body section of Lapua cases is hard and resilient for unmatched durability. It is easy to extract after firing, whether the reloader opts for full sizing or neck sizing only.

The case neck
Strict tolerances in concentricity and wall thickness are used in the manufacturing of the case neck. The neck and shoulder of Lapua cases are annealed to withstand repeated reloading.
