Redding 38 Special/357 Magnum Titanium Carbide 3-Die Set

Titanium carbide differs considerably from tungsten carbides, and is the ideal material for lube-less resizing of cartridge cases.The difference is in the microscopic structure. Tungsten carbide if viewed under a microscope, appears as sharp irregular micro-grains resembling chunks of coal or quartz, and regardless of how well the surface is finished, its inherent structure remains the same.

Titanium carbide micro-grains on the other hand, appear smooth and rounded, resembling the rounded stones you might find in a stream bed. Titanium carbide has the highest hardness of any readily available carbide, and those smooth rounded micro-grains present a slippery, non-galling surface that is simply unattainable with other carbides.

Titanium Carbide Sizing Die
The full length resizing die contains a de-capping rod assembly with a neck expander (size button). This die resizes the case body, shoulder and neck so that a resized case fits a chamber of minimum SAAMI dimensions.

Expander Die
The Expander Die expands the case mouth to the proper diameter to accept the bullet, and it imparts case mouth flare/bell for bullet feeding.

Bullet Seater Die
The seating die includes a built-in crimp ring and the proper seating plug.

Plastic Die Box
These tough, die storage boxes will accommodate virtually any combination of two or three Redding dies.
